Ingredients:
Bhindi or Okra or Lady Finger 500 grams ( cut lengthwise in 2 pieces)
Turmeric or Haldi 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
Kalonji 1/2 teaspoon ( Onion seeds)
Red Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Oil 1/2 cup
Salt 1 teaspoon ( as per taste)
Onions 1 diced big pieces
Tomatoes 4 finely chopped
Green chillies 2 chopped
Amchur powder ( Mango Powder) 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the bhindi till crispy. ( if you wish you could deep fry it) and keep aside.
2. Fry the onions in the fry pan and keep aside.
2. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in another pan .
3. Add Garlic and stir and add the kalonji seeds as well.
4. Add Red chilli powder and stir.
5. Add Haldi or Turmeric and stir
6. Add the chopped tomato and cook on slow heat.
6. Add the garam masala and cook further for few minutes until you can see the oil coming from this mixture.
7. Add in fried bhindi, green chillies and brown fried onions and keep on slow heat for few minutes.
8. Add some amchur powder and mix.
Serve it with Naan , Rice or Roti
