Ingredients:
1. Badam ( Almonds ) 30 nos ( Soak them in hot water for 1 hour to peel the skin off)
2. Milk 1 litre
3. Water 1/2 cup
4. Sugar 1/2 cup
5. Cardamom Powder 1/4 tea spoon
6. Saffron Strands 10 nos ( soak them in some warm milk to dissolve them completely)
7.Green Pista ( Unsalted , unroasted pistachios)
8. Kewra water or Rose Water ( optional - only for flavour)
Instructions:
1.Peel the skin of almonds and grind them to a paste with some water.
2.Heat the milk in a heavy based sauce pan.
3. Add the almond paste
4. Stir the milk otherwise it might get burnt.
5. Slowly it will start thickening up.
6. At this stage add the sugar, cardamom powder and saffron.
7. stir for 3 minutes or so.
8. Garnish with cut green pista.


It can be served hot or cold.


TIP: When making the almond paste do not make it very fine, leave the paste bit coarse.
