Ingredients:
Chaat Masala is used for spicing up the Chaats ( equivalent of salads).
Chaat could be mix fruit chaat , just cut up some fruites an pour chaat masala on top.
It could be with shallow Fried Potatoes sprikled with the Chaat Masala . This is readily available in the Indian Grocery Shops. If you wish to make it by yourself here is a simple recipe
Ingredients
The quantieis shown are just to give the proportions, you can use the same proportion to make more of this poweder.
1. Jeera (Cumin Seeds ) 1 Teaspoon.
2. Cayenne Powder 1/2 Teaspoon ( Cayenne is not an Indian herb but it is supposed to be very good for health) Otherwise use some red chilli powder
3. 1/4 tsp asafetida powder
4. 3/4 tsp mango powder
5. 1/2 -3/4 tsp garam masala
6. 1/2 tsp black salt
7. 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. First of dry roast the Jeera (Cumin Seeds) on a hot pan without oil.
2. Once the Jeera turns black remove it from the heat.
3. Let it cool down and then grind it into a powder.
4. Mix all the other ingredients.
Keep this is an airtight jar, it can be kep in the kitchen shelf for a long time.
Sprinkle it on you Chaats as needed.
