Ingredients:
1. Besan ( Gram Flour) 1 Cup
2. Sugar 1 Cup
3. Ghee or Oil 1Cup ( yes , Besan is very dry and needs lots of oil)
4. Milk 1.5 Cups
5. Water 1 Cup
6. Cut Almonds 10
7. Cut Pistachios ( unsalted) 20

Instructions:
1. Take a thick bottomed pan put it on medium heat and pour the besan in it and keep stirring till it start smelling (Besan has a nice smell when it gets cooked)
2. Add the Ghee or Oil and stir .
3. Add milk and stir.
4. Cook till the besan becomes golden brown.( Golden brown means done and only Brown means burnt :(

5.Add about 1 cup of water and stir for a few minutes.
6. Add sugar and stir for 5 minutes or so.
7. The consistency should be thick without lumps.




TIP: For most Halwas the proportion of the flour, Sugar and Ghee is usually the same.
