Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken 1/2 Kilo diced
Tomatoes 3 Medium Sized
Onion 1 diced.
Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon
Ginger Paste 1 Tablespoon
Haldi Powder ( Turmeric Powder ) 1 teaspoon
Coriander Powder 2 tablespoons
Jeera Powder 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon
Almonds 30 ( if you wish you can use the unblanched almonds with peeling )
Fresh Green Coriander Finely chopped 1/2 cup
Garam Masala 1 teaspoon
Oil for cooking
Butter 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon Stick
Tej Patta or Bay leaves 2
Green Cardamon powder 1/2 teaspoon
Clove Powder 1 pinch
Sugar 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
This is a quick recipe and does not call for the marination.
1. Take a non stick pan and add the oil and put it on medium heat.
2. Add the Garlic Paste.
3. Add the Ginger Paste
4. Add the Red Chilli Powder.
5. Add the Haldi Powder
6. stir for a minute.
7. Add the chicken pieces and stir.
8. Add some water 1 cup
9. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
10. Keep aside the cooked chicken.
11. Take the non stick pan and put some oil and put it on medium heat again.
12. Now add the onions and saute them.
13. Add the tomotoes and saute them.
14. Add a cup of water and cover them.
15. Once the onion and tomatoes are done then take them out and grind them to a fine paste.
16. Now put the pan on heat again with little oil.
17 .Add the Cinnamon stick .
18. Add the bay leaves.
19. Now add the onion and tomatoe paste back in.
20. Add the Cooked chicken (step 10)
21. Add the Jeera Powder
22 Add the Coriander Powder
23. Stir for five minutes .
24. Add a teaspoon of sugar.( enhances the taste)
18. Add the Clove Powder
19. Add the Green Cardamom powder.
20. Now take the almonds and add some water and grind it to a smooth paste.
21. Add this paste in the pan.
22. Stir and add the butter.
Sprinkle the Green coriander to garnish
Serve it with Rice or Naan
