Ingredients:
Chicken 1/2 Kg cubed
Ginger Paste 1 tablespoon
Garlic Paste 1 teaspoon
Browned Onion Paste 2 tablespoon( Deep Fry the sliced onions and then grind them to a paste)
Salt - to taste
Nutmeg Powder 1 pinch
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric ( Haldi) 1/2 teaspoon
Grated Coconut 2 teaspoon
White Sesame Seeds 1/2 teaspoon
Cashew Nut Paste - 3 teaspoon( Wet the cashew and then grind to a smoot paste )
Yoghurt ( Dahi) 1/2 Cup
Cinnamon 1 stick
Bay Leaves ( Tej Patta) 4 leaves
Cloves 3 pieces
Green Cardamom ( Choti Ilayichi) 4
Lemon Juice 2 Tablespoons
Ghee or Cooking Oil 2 teaspoons
Water 2 cups
Chopped Green Coriander 2 tablespoons
Instructions:
Marination process
------------------------------
1. Take a Big Glass mixing bowl
2. Add Yoghurt.
3. Add the Ginger and Garlic Paste
4. Add the Browned Onion Paste
5. Add the Salt as per your taste
6. Add the Nutmeg Powder
7. Add the Red Chilli Powder
8. Add the Grated Coconut
9. Add the Cashew Paste
10. Now mix this to a paste.
11. Add the cubed chicken pieces in this marinade
12. Leave it aside for 1 hour to marinate.
Cooking
--------------
13. Take a non stick fry pan and add 2 teaspoons of Ghee or Oil and put it on medium heat.
14. Add the Cinnamon stick.
15. Add the Bay Leaves ( Tej Patta)
16. Add the Green Cardamoms
17. Add the Cloves.
18. Let these items crackle a bit ( do not burn them :-) )
19. Now add the Marinated chicken which you prepared in step 12.
20. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes or so.
21. Add some water and cover the pan with a lid ( reduce the heat to medium) for 10 - 15 minutes.
22. Once cooked add the lemon juice .
While Serving sprinkle the chopped Coriander to garnish.
Enjoy it with Rice , Roti or Naan .
