Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken ( dice into small cubes)
4 medium onions
1 tablespoon Ginger Paste
1 teaspoon of Garlic Paste
4 medium potatoes
1 teaspoon Haldi (Turmeric powder)
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
3 - 4 green chillies
2 1/2 cups sour curd (yoghurt ) (Dahi)
salt to taste
Instructions:
Grind the garlic, ginger and onions to a paste.
Divide this paste into two portions.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into halves.
Cut the chicken into serving portions.
Thoroughly mix the chicken and potatoes with one half of the paste using 1 tablespoon oil and 2 teaspoons salt( vary the salt as per taste).
Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in an open pan and fry the remaining half of the past in it for 10 minutes, using a low fire.
Add the chicken and potatoes with the remaining paste and fry for another 10 minutes.
Pour 3 1/2 cups of water into the pan .
Add some more salt around 2 1/2 teaspoons of salt and close the pan.
Let it cook for another 10 to 15 minutes. Stir it half way through as needed.
Serve with Rice or Roti .
