Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
1 small sachet of active dry yeast
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter,
salt 1/2 tsp.
A pinch of Cinnamon powder
3 Eggs - unbeaten
3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Heat the milk but do not allow it to boil , remove from heat
2. Leave the milk to become lukewarm
3. Add yeast to the lukewarm milk and stir well.
4. Leave it for 10 minutes
5. Add the sugar.
6. Add the melted butter.
7. Add the Cinnamon powder.
8. Add the Eggs.
9. Add the flour and stir well till blended.
10. Add enough flour to make this as a dough.
11. Knead this dough well until smooth. ( Add more flour as needed)
12. Leave this dough in a warm place for 1 hour ( or until it becomes double in size)
13. Roll this dough to 1/2 inch thickness
13. Cut into 1 inch wide strips and about 2 inches long strips.
14. Place these pieces on buttered cookie sheet ( or oven proof paper)
15. Leave these pieces so that they can rise again at room temperature.
16. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
17. Bake these pieces for 20 minutes.
18. Take them out and allow to cool.
Enjoy with Tea or Coffee.
