Ingredients:
What should be the pH balance of a healthy body, how does the food affect our pH balance.
Instructions:
The human body needs to be slighthly alkaline state ( pH level between 7.36 and 7.42) to be in perfect health, our bodies continually strive to be in this band of pH levels.
When we are born our bodies are in a very alkaline state.
However a typical modern day diet of foods like refined breads, sugar, take aways, fast food, fried food, processed or refined foods, tea, coffee, cigarettes and alchohol leaves acidity in our body.
Other factors such as over exercise can also make our bodies acidic.
Now we should not confuse the acidic nature of the foods with the acid in the body. eg. Oranges, limes and lemons are very acidic fruits, but during the metabolisation process it tends to leave our body in an alkaline state.
