Ingredients:
1 cup besan (gram flour)
1 cup atta (whole wheat flour)
2 tbsp oil or ghee
1 tbsp kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
a pinch of hing (asafoetida)
a pinch of haldi (turmeric powder)
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients. Add enough water to make a dough of rolling consistency.
2. Cover the dought to settle by keeping it aside for 30 minutes.
3. Make small balls and roll them slightly thicker than the usual chapati.
4. Put a tawa or a fry pan on medium heat and cook the roti on both sides.
5. Apply a little oil when you turn the sides of the roti on the pan.


Have it with yoghurt ( dahi) and pickle.

It makes an excellent breakfast dish.
