Ingredients:
Serving 4 people

Ingredients
9 ozs (250 g) basmati rice
2/3 pints (500 mils) Water
60 g oil
1 tspn Jeera ( Cumin seeds)
2 Bay leaves ( Tej Patta)
Instructions:
Preparation
1. Clean, wash, and soak rice in 2/3 pints water for 2 hours.
2. Remove the rice from the water and leave aside.
3. Heat oil in pan, add the bay leaves and jeera .
4. Once jeera starts crackling add the rice and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Add the water to rice so that the water is just above the layer of the rice.
5. Let it cook for another for 5-7 minutes with lid on.


This dish can also be done directly in the rice cooker.
