Ingredients:
Pumpkin - 1 cup
Roasted Chana( Chickpeas) - 2 Cups ( you get them ready made in the Indian Grocery shops)
Ginger paste 1 tea spoon
Chaat Masala 1 tea spoon
Coriander Chopped 2 tablespoons
Jeera 1 tea spoon ( dry roast it first)
Ajwain 1/3 teaspoon
Green Chilli 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)
Garam Masala 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow Frying ( 1 cup)

For Garnish

1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
1 Lime Wedge
1 teaspoon of Chopped Coriander
1 teaspoon of Chopped Green Chilli

sprinkle a pinch of these items on each patty when ready to server
Instructions:
Microwave the pumpkin with 4 tablespoons of water for 2 to 3 minutes.
Once the pumpkin is done you should be easily mash it up to fine paste ( like a toothpaste :-) )
Take the Roasted Chana and grind it in a grinder to make a coarse powder.
Mix enough of the quantity in the mashed pumpkin so that it makes a dough like consistency.
Once it has become a tight dough then add

1. Ginger Paste
2. Chaat Masala
3. Chopped Coriander
4. Jeera
5. Ajwain
6. Green Chilli
7. Garam Masala
8. Salt

Mix the dough well again.

Now make small patties from the dough.

Shallow fry them on the fry pan.

If you wish you can also grill them on a sandwich maker or griller.( brush some oil on each side of the patty first)


As the ingredients are already pre cooked ( pumpkin has already been microwaved, and the chana is already roasted) therefore as soon as the sides get crisy on both sides, the patty is ready.


Garnish it with a pinch of Chaat Masala, some Chopped Coriander leaves,some chopped green chilli.


Serve it with red chutney, green chutney or tomato ketchup.


This is a very very healthy snack and can be made in under 10 minutes.



Variations:
Depending upon the time and the availability of ingredients you can add any available vegetable.
Just microwave the veges seperately and then crush them or finelly chop them to very very small pieces and then mix it with the dough
